It's simple, our farmers and ranchers need a Farm bill. This week, after a long process we finally brought Farm bill 2018 to the floor for a vote. Although the measure didn't pass, I plan to uphold my promise and continue to working on bringing a Farm bill to the President's desk.
While I support the reforms found in the legislation my colleagues ultimately determined was worth pursuing before the Farm Bill, I do not support their tactics that undermine our nation’s farmers and ranchers at a time when they need more certainty. I will continue to work with Chairman Conaway and House Leaders to bring up our bill as soon as we can and get strong legislation to the President’s desk.

Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Ark., is the first elected official on Capitol Hill to test a prototype of a new tool built by the OpenGov Foundation — Article One-txt.
“At the end of the day, I believe the conversations I have with my constituents are the hallmark of our country and what was envisioned when our country was formed,” Crawford tweeted on May 10, soon after the capability launched. “I hope folks will see it the same way and participate in this new messaging system.”
