Fixing Unacceptable Postal Service

Poor mail delivery is frustrating for all of us, and I am committed to doing everything in my power to restore quality service. The First Congressional District is served by three processing centers; however, only one has chronic problems – the Memphis sorting facility, which serves all zip codes beginning with 723 and 724.

Resolving the problem will require lots of data and direct input. And that’s where you come in. Any letter or package that you mail or receive that doesn’t arrive on time, I need to know about it.

Below are the three easy steps you can take that will help me fix the problem.

1) Once you have identified a letter or package that didn’t arrive on time, please keep the item and call my office at (870) 203-0540. I will need the envelope because it contains important information that is needed to find where the problems are.

2) As mentioned above, the envelope is very important, and I’ll need to send pictures to the postal service. However, federal law requires my office to obtain a privacy release before we can transmit your information to a federal agency. Consequently, my staff will ask you to complete the form at https://digitalprf.house.gov/AddressAuthentication?id=AROl.

3) My staff will guide you through how to provide us the information we need to submit an inquiry that will help us improve postal delivery.

While no single letter or package will reveal the problems, if everyone who is experiencing delays will participate, I believe we will be able to uncover the failure points so that each one can be fixed.
