Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement on his vote to fund the federal government.

“Today I voted in favor of funding the federal government and avoiding a shutdown. While a Continuing Resolution is far from the most responsible method of funding the government, this clean measure ensures President Trump can maintain strong momentum as he delivers on his promises to the American people. In today’s dynamic threat environment, we must be acutely aware of the signal a government shutdown sends to our adversaries around the world. Speaker Johnson and House Republicans have carefully crafted this funding measure to stop Democrats in their attempt to derail President Trump’s agenda to secure our nation and champion the renewal of the American dream.”
