Congressman Crawford Statement on Arizona Shooting

Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) joins the nation in expressing his profound sorrow over today’s tragic shooting of his colleague, Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ).  Crawford issued the following statement:

“My heart goes out to the Congresswoman, the other victims and everyone impacted by this tragic event. I am watching the situation closely and continuously praying for those affected by this inexcusable act of violence.  This is truly a sad day.”

Congressman Rick Crawford is the first Republican elected to represent Arkansas’s First Congressional District since Reconstruction.  He serves on the Agriculture and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. Rick and his wife Stacy, both ASU alumni, reside in Jonesboro with their two children.
