Crawford Statement on House Passage of the Budget Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C— Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement on his vote in support of the House budget resolution.

“I’m proud to support a fiscally responsible budget framework that requires the House of Representatives to find at least $1.5 trillion in taxpayer savings. By supporting this resolution, the House will be able to extend the successful Tax Cuts and Jobs Act from 2017 that lowered taxes for hard-working American families and small businesses. A vote against this bill was a vote in favor of raising taxes on nearly every American family. While I wish that the Senate had formally committed itself to more spending cuts, I trust in our leadership’s and in President Trump’s ability to convince reticent Senators that cutting wasteful and unnecessary federal spending is part of the mandate the American people have given us.”
