Crawford: Unilever adding 125 jobs

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford welcomed news that Unilever will invest $40 million and create 125 new jobs at their personal care products manufacturing facility in Jonesboro.

“Unilever’s $40 million investment in Jonesboro is tremendous news. The addition of 125 new jobs will give the local economy a jolt of energy,” said Crawford. “Since coming to Jonesboro in 2008, Unilever has seen the pride that citizens put into their work. Today’s announcement is a true testament to the incredible work ethic of our entire region.”

Unilever originally opened its Jonesboro facility in 2008 with 200 employees. Since that time they have doubled in size and now employees 400 people. The company currently makes personal care products including Nexxus, St. Ives, Just for Me, Noxzema, and Tresseme.
