Crawford Votes to Deliver Historic Tax Cuts for Middle-Class & Working Americans
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement on his vote to deliver the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to President Trump’s desk and keep the promises President Trump and Republicans made to Americans.
“While I am not thrilled with every change the Senate made to the House-passed version of the One Big Beautiful Bill, it still delivers on many of the promises President Trump and Republicans made to Americans. Today, I proudly voted to preserve the largest tax cut in history for working and middle-class Americans, bolster border security, and make a significant investment in U.S. national security. As the threat landscape facing the United States grows more dynamic, it is imperative that our men and women in uniform, both our armed forces and law enforcement, have the resources they need to detect, neutralize, and deter these threats. Additionally, our investment in our nation’s agriculture industry will provide much-needed relief for Arkansas farmers and set them on a path to long-term success. Bottom line: this legislation puts Americans in a safer and more prosperous position than they were before.”
How the One Big Beautiful Bill Benefits Arkansans:
- The average taxpayer in Arkansas’s 1st District would have seen a 24% increase in their federal taxes if Congress had not passed this legislation.
- The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on the President’s promise to halt illegal immigration and secure our country’s border by allocating $46 billion toward finishing Trump’s border wall and increasing funding to hire and train more U.S. Border Patrol agents.
- This bill includes the first meaningful investment in the farm safety net programs, such as ARC and PLC, since 2002. To further support our Arkansas farmers, the bill includes up to a 20% increase in the statutory reference prices for all covered commodities and encourages access to commercial export markets for agricultural producers.
