Rep. Crawford Launches 4th Annual STEM Tour

Jonesboro, AR – Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) kicked off his 4th annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Manufacturing Tour in Arkansas’s First District. The tour runs from July 22 to July 27. On this year’s tour, Representative Crawford’s staff is accompanying educators to manufacturing facilities in Jonesboro, Batesville, Blytheville, Stuttgart, Lonoke, Osceola, and Memphis.

Upon kickoff for the tour, Rep. Crawford released the following statement:

“Our thriving economy is driving up demand for STEM professionals to fill jobs across the country, and the First District of Arkansas is no different. I am thrilled to provide an opportunity for our educators to better understand the skills needed by their capable students to fill these jobs. Our talented educators work tirelessly at enabling their students to succeed, and I hope this gives them a new perspective and tool in their toolbox when assisting students in planning for the future.
