Rep. Crawford Statement on House Passage of Continuing Resolution

9/30/2023

Washington  Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement upon House passage of H.R. 5860, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2024 and Other Extensions Act.

“I voted to keep the government open today because shutting down cost more in the long run and shifts the focus away from Bidenflation and the president’s disastrous open border policy, which is growing unpopular even in urban areas where wild-haired liberal ideas normally thrive.  This temporary funding bill maintains spending at current levels, allowing us to complete work on full-year appropriation bills to lower spending while also keeping the focus on President Biden’s decision to dramatically increase illegal immigration.”
