Most Smithsonian museums don’t require passes ahead of time and are free to the public. The National Museum of African American History and Culture requires free, timed-entry passes which are released at 8 am for 30 days out. Visitors can acquire passes online at this link. Same-day passes are also available at 8:15 am each morning. Visit the Smithsonian Institution’s website for all hours of operation for each museum.
My office can arrange tours for residents of Arkansas’ 1st District of the White House, U.S. Capitol, and FBI building. Please keep in mind that tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Be aware when planning your trip that the summer months are the peak tourist season and time slots tend to fill quickly. We recommend reaching out to our office three months in advanced of your visit to increase the probability of receiving a tour during your desired dates.
We want to make your family’s trip to our Nation’s Capital as enjoyable as possible. If your family or group has any special needs or health concerns that we need to be aware of or accommodate in any way, please let us know in advance. Any information provided will be handled with your privacy in mind. You can let my tour coordinator, Alyssa Buentello, know of any special needs or health concerns so we can be better prepared for your visit.
If you are having trouble completing this form, please call 202-225-4076 and our tour coordinator will further assist you.
