Medicare Open Enrollment will run from October 15 – December 7, 2012, Crawford and his staff are available to help seniors with questions and the enrollment process

Today, Congressman Rick Crawford reminded senior citizens in his district that Medicare Open Enrollment will run from October 15 through December 7, 2012.

“Open Enrollment is an important time for seniors to make sure they have the Medicare plan that best suits their needs. Navigating any federal program can be daunting. My office is here to help seniors make sense out of the Open Enrollment process,” said Crawford. “Medicare is a promise to seniors. Seniors who have worked hard their entire lives and paid into Medicare and Social Security deserve the best options possible.”

Crawford encourages seniors who have questions regarding Medicare Open Enrollment to call his Jonesboro office at 870-203-0540.

During open enrollment Medicare recipients will have the opportunity to:

• Change to a Medicare Advantage Plan, or select a different plan that better meets your needs
• Join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan
• Switch from one Medicare Prescription Drug Plan to another Medicare Prescription Drug Plan

Not all senior citizens will want to make changes to their current Medicare plan. However, any changes to current plans or first time enrollments must be completed by December 7, 2012.
