Crawford Supportive of President Trump’s Plan to Lower Costs of Prescription Drugs
Washington, DC- Earlier today, President Trump announced his plan to help lower the cost of prescription meds. President Trump’s plan points to different laws that prevent transparency, innovation, and market competition.
Representative Crawford wrote a letter in March outlining similar concerns with the lack of competition in the prescription drug market as well as middlemen driving up prescription drug costs.
“Drug prices are a huge challenge for those living in rural America, including Arkansas’ 1st District. I applaud the President’s effort to bring attention to this issue and I look forward to working with him and other members of Congress on creating more competition in the marketplace for prescription drugs as well as reigning in PBM’s.”
