Rep. Crawford’s Statement on Fires in Cotton Plant

Jonesboro — Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement after reports of several fires in Cotton Plant, AR which severely damaged the United Methodist Church.
“My prayers are with the congregation and friends of the historic United Methodist Church in Cotton Plant, whose house of worship was lost Sunday night under very suspicious circumstances. I’m thankful that no one was injured. Local, state, and federal investigators are working together on the investigation, and I am confident they will determine the cause of this fire and if arson is confirmed, track down and prosecute anyone who may have committed such a disgraceful crime,” said Rep. Crawford.
