Congressman Rick Crawford (R-Ark.) released the following statement regarding last night’s Federal disaster declaration by the President:

“Last night, President Obama issued a Federal disaster declaration for Arkansas. The declaration allows Federal funds to be used for assisting the clean up and rebuilding of communities in the First District and throughout Arkansas. I want to thank the President for his quick response to the Arkansas Delegation’s request and I encourage all First District residents to contact my office if there is anything I can do to help them in this difficult time. Citizens across Arkansas and the rest of the South continue to remain in my prayers.”

*Individual Assistancecan include temporary housing assistance for eligible applicants such as rental assistance and repair assistance.

  • How To Register:
    • Telephone—1-800-621-FEMA (3362), TTY (800) 462-7585 for individuals with speech or hearing disabilities. 
    • Internet—Individuals may apply for disaster assistance online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
    • Smartphone—The mobile website m.fema.govallows the public to register with FEMA and easily accessdisaster-related information directly on their web-enabled device.

Congressman Rick Crawford is the first Republican elected to represent Arkansas’s First Congressional District since Reconstruction.  He serves on the Agriculture and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. Rick and his wife Stacy, both ASU alumni, reside in Jonesboro with their two children.
