Crawford Announces New Advisory Board
Board members will serve as advisors on policy matters that deal with the Arkansas River system and inland waterways
Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) announced the formation of an advisory board that will provide input and analysis on policy matters that will affect the Mississippi River, its tributaries, and inland waterways. The Arkansas Rivers and Maritime Advisory Council (ARMAC) will be led by Rob Rash of West Memphis. Rash, who is currently the Executive Director of the St. Francis Levee District, has spent most of his professional career working on issues dealing with the Mississippi River and flood control matters.
“I am excited to announce the formation of my Arkansas Rivers and Maritime Advisory Council”, said Crawford. “The Mississippi River and its tributaries are among the greatest natural resources the state of Arkansas has to offer for commerce and transportation. The members of this advisory board will play a critical role in helping to shape river and maritime policy in Washington. I am grateful for the leadership of Rob Rash as well as the participation of each individual who has agreed to serve on this board. I look forward to their input as we prepare to address legislation in Washington that will affect those who work along these rivers and waterways on a regular basis.”
