Crawford Congratulates Anthony Foxx on Confirmation as Secretary of Transportation

Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR), a Member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, issued the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx as the new Secretary of Transportation:

“Congratulations to Anthony Foxx on his confirmation as the new Secretary of Transportation. As a mayor of a large, urban city situated in a state with many rural areas, I am sure the Secretary understands as I do the importance of a diverse infrastructure that serves the needs of both rural and urban America.

“As a member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, I look forward to continuing the Committee’s important work with Secretary Foxx to maintain and improve our nation’s transportation systems. A healthy infrastructure serves as the foundation for our nation’s businesses to move products, import and export, and generate all-important economic activity. It is the key to job creation and growth. I wish the Secretary well and look forward to working with him on these issues important to the people of Arkansas.”
