Crawford Congratulates Naval Academy Appointee

Jonesboro, AR – U.S. Representative Rick Crawford (AR-1) today announced the appointment of a 1st District student to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Sean Jernigan
of Paragould received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy after his nomination by Congressman Crawford. Sean currently attends Crowley’s Ridge Academy, where he has earned a 4.00 grade point average. Sean is an active member of several sports teams, including Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis, and Track and Field. He is also a Civil Air Patrol First Sergeant and Student Body President, as well as being actively involved in his church and many other extracurricular activities. His parents are Edward and Carrie Jernigan.

Upon learning of Mr. Jernigan’s appointment, Representative Crawford released the following statement:
 
An appointment to a service academy is a true honor for those who exhibit the requisite leadership, character, and scholarship,” Congressman Crawford said. “I’m proud that the 1st District will be so well represented by Mr. Jernigan at the U.S. Naval Academy.”
