JONESBORO – Last week, Congressman Rick Crawford visited Cotter High School to present a new American Flag for the school to hang in the gymnasium. Cotter High School seniors Brent Taylor and Aaron Pettit wrote to Crawford requesting a new flag to replace an old flag that had faded with age. Taylor and Pettit have become known as the “flag men” around Cotter High for their efforts to promote patriotism in the school.

Crawford was so impressed with the two young men’s efforts that he made them the focus of his January 6, 2012 weekly column. Click HERE to read the column focusing on Taylor and Pettit’s patriotism.
