Washington, DC – Today, the Speaker announced that Congressman Crawford was appointed to serve on the Conference Committee for H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018. Crawford will work with a group of other appointed members to resolve the differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill.

Upon being selected as a conferee, Crawford released the following statement:

“I look forward to continuing to work on a Farm Bill that provides certainty to our nation’s farmers and producers while they perform a task that is directly correlated with our national security. The final product must be something that provides solutions to the difficulties those living in rural America face. I hope to work quickly and efficiently so that we can get this legislation onto the President’s desk before the current Farm Bill expires on September 30th.

Rep. Rick Crawford is a member of the House Committee on Agriculture as well as the Chairman of Subcommittee General Farm Commodities and Risk Management
