Washington, D.C. – Earlier today, after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3504, Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and H.R. 3134, Defund Planned Parenthood Act, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-1) released the following statement:    

“I strongly support women’s access to the best available healthcare, but the recent discovery regarding Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices and transactions gravely questions the organization’s legal–not to mention moral–standing. Transferring Planned Parenthood’s funding to other qualified women’s health organizations cements our commitment to women’s health while protecting the unborn and those born alive, until an investigation can determine the full extent of the horrific allegations against the organization.”
