Washington, D.C. – Representative Rick Crawford (AR-1) released the statement below after voting to override the President’s veto of H.R. 3762, the Restoring American’s Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act.

Tonight, the people’s House pushed back against the President’s veto of a bill that provides much needed relief from Obamacare and blocks federal funding for Planned Parenthood, funds which I also voted against previously in last year’s Omnibus. In addition to protecting life and quality healthcare, voting to override his veto demonstrates our commitment to fiscal solvency, which is especially important given the Congressional Budget Office’s predictions last month that deficits are set to rise precipitously in future years and that in 10 more years, our national debt will grow from $19 to $30 trillion unless we continue to press for reform.”
