Rep. Crawford and Rep. Mrvan to Lead Congressional Steel Caucus in 118th Congress
12/19/2022
Washington, DC – The bipartisan Congressional Steel Caucus today announced that Rep. Crawford (AR-01) and Rep. Mrvan (IN-01) will serve as Chairman and Vice Chairman in the 118th Congress.
The Congressional Steel Caucus is a bipartisan group of over 100 Members of Congress who promote the health and stability of the domestic steel industry. In addition to introducing legislation supporting the domestic steel community, caucus members routinely meet with officials and international organization representatives to communicate the interests of the American industry and its steelworkers.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done in the Steel Caucus and I look forward to building upon that success in the upcoming Congress in my new role as Chairman. A robust U.S. steel industry is critical to our nation’s infrastructure, economy, and national security. Supporting the steel industry means durable infrastructure, a strong economy, and no longer needing to outsource for this vital commodity,” said Rep. Crawford.
“As we transition to the 118th Congress, I look forward to continuing the necessary and impactful work of the Congressional Steel Caucus with Chairman Crawford, and building on our partnership and initiatives to ensure that all steelworkers and our manufacturing base can compete on a level playing field,” said Rep. Mrvan.
