Rep. Crawford Condemns Red Flag Language in NDAA
9/28/2021

Washington  Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement in response to the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act’s (NDAA) red flag provision.

“The NDAA is a critical piece of legislation that provides our Armed Services the resources they need to keep themselves and our country safe. I voted in favor of the legislation because I don’t agree with the House Democrats’ strategy of holding our service members hostage and tanking a bill that is vital to our national security in the process. My office has confirmed reports of bi-partisan support for the removal of this damaging provision and has been assured by likely negotiators that the language in Section 529 will be stricken from the final bill before being signed into law. It is shameful that my colleagues would even consider utilizing the NDAA to target veterans’ rights to own firearms when its intended purpose is to support our military,” said Rep. Crawford
