Rep. Crawford Pays Tribute to Stone County Honor Guard
10/18/2021
Mountain View, AR — This past weekend, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) paid a visit to Stone Bank in Mountain View to honor Stone County’s Honor Guard. Every year, Stone Bank holds a ceremony to honor a select group of veterans in the local community. This year, 16 veterans, all from the Stone County Honor Guard, were chosen to be acknowledged at the celebration. All 16 veterans will be given flags flown above the U.S. Capitol. Rep. Crawford has attended the event and delivered flags every year with the exceptions of 2018 and 2020, when the ceremony was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our veterans exemplify the best of our country, and their actions demonstrate the true meaning of sacrifice. It is an honor to be among their ranks and represent them in Washington DC. Ensuring our veterans are well cared for is the least we can do and should never be a political issue,” said Crawford.
