Rep. Crawford Reacts to Announcement of Riceland Expansion

Jonesboro — Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement in response to Riceland food’s newly announced expansion in both their Jonesboro and Stuttgart plants. The $13.2 million extension is expected to create 80 new jobs.

“I could not be more proud to represent the farmers in Eastern Arkansas who work diligently to help feed the world. I applaud Riceland’s ongoing innovation and expansion which is of vital importance to the continued success of the our state’s rural economy and enables the next generation of farmers to prosper,” said Rep. Crawford. 

Rep. Crawford currently serves as the vice ranking member on the House Agriculture Committee and was a Conferee for both the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills.
