Rep. Crawford Responds to FERC Reversal on Natural Gas Certification Process

3/25/2022

Washington  Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced the withdrawal of last month’s the natural gas policy statements. These statements were the first updates to the certification process for new interstate natural gas projects in over 20 years.

“This reversal is a win for American energy. At a time in which fuel prices and demand are skyrocketing due to Green New Deal policies and conflict in Ukraine, we should be working to remove barriers for our nation’s energy sector, not creating radical reforms. I’m glad FERC corrected this illogical error, and I call on them to work with energy producers to increase domestic production,” said Rep. Crawford.
