Rep. Crawford Statement on Passing of Rep. Payne

4/24/2024

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) issued the statement below on the passing of Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. (NJ-10).

I was sad to hear of Representative Payne’s passing I got to know him well when I served as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials. We worked closely to navigate a dismantled supply chain during the COVID pandemic and lead oversight into the Colonial Pipeline hack. Donald was deeply passionate about his job and bringing forward meaningful change. He will be missed, and I send my sincerest condolences and prayers to his family in their time of grief,” said Rep. Crawford.
