Rep. Crawford Statement on President Biden’s Budget Request

3/9/2023

WASHINGTON—Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement concerning President Biden’s FY2024 budget plan:

“The President who assured us inflation was transitory now assures us that his budget will address the federal government’s debt crisis. But his own budget office concedes his 10-year blueprint would add $17 trillion to the nation’s debt, a level of debt that would endanger Social Security, Medicare, and our national security. Consequently, his budget has zero chance of passing the House.”
