Rep. Crawford Votes to Avoid Government Shutdown

2/29/2024

Washington  Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 7463, the Extension of Continuing Appropriations and Other Matters Act, 2024 on Thursday evening, avoiding a partial government shutdown.

“This short-term funding extension gives Congress and the American people time to review what the House and Senate Appropriations Committees have negotiated so there are no surprises and our spending decisions aren’t made behind closed doors under the cover of darkness. I am pleased that we are taking our time to properly vet these bills before we decide if they should be enacted into law,” said Rep. Crawford.
