Rep. Crawford’s Statement on Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2022

3/10/2022

Washington  Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement following his yes vote on the Security Division of the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2022 and no vote on the non-Security Division:

“The House Democrats’ attempt to tie critical Ukraine aid and other essential national security funding to a major spending spree thankfully failed. The social-spending portion of the bill will increase the federal debt, further fuel inflation, and redirect too much funding away from American priorities into extreme liberal climate projects and divisive ‘equity’ measures. Congress has a job to defend our nation and provide funding for vital programs that protect the well-being of our nation. Deviating from that goal would be irresponsible and go against the will of the American people.”
