Two local airports are among 23 across Arkansas sharing nearly $1.4 million in federal grants as part of the Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act approved by Congress in December.

The funding is to help with offsetting costs and maintaining jobs as a result of COVID-19, according to the state's congressional delegation.

WASHINGTON -- The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 will provide Arkansas with $1.7 billion in state fiscal relief, the White House said Friday.

Another $1 billion is earmarked for local relief.

The state's public schools will receive more than $1.2 billion as a result of the legislation, which President Joe Biden signed Thursday.
