A group of educators spent Monday learning what skills they need to be teaching their students.
Around 30 teachers have teamed up with Congressman Rick Crawford to be a part of the STEM and Manufacturing Tour.
Jonesboro, AR –Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) launched his 3rd annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Manufacturers Tour in the 1st District of Arkansas. The kickoff event was hosted today and the tour will go onto Friday July 27th. Educators from across the 1st District will tour 18 different factories and see first hand the type of skills and training needed to fill manufacturing jobs in the area.

On Wednesday (July 18), U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro, was appointed by House Speaker Paul Ryan to serve on the Conference Committee for H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, also known as the Farm Bill.
Crawford will work with a group of other appointed members to resolve differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill.

Legislation that would provide hours-of-service flexibility for certain truckers as a way to promote highway safety and boost the economy was introduced June 21 by a bipartisan group of U.S. House lawmakers.
