Washington, DC - Today, the House of Representatives passed the Conference report to H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018 by a record high vote of 369-47.

Following passage of the legislation Crawford released the following statement:

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton along with U.S. Representatives Rick Crawford, French Hill, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman pressed the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to reverse a proposed rule that would harm Arkansas poultry farmers' ability to access vital funding for their operations.

Washington, DC– The U.S. Department of Justice announcedon October 10ththe approval of the merger between CVS and Aetna with the condition that Aetna sell of its Medicare prescription drug plans. This merger has been under review by the DOJ for several months to ensure no violation of antitrust laws.


September 19, 2018

Washington, DC –U.S. Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton along with U.S. Representatives Rick Crawford, French Hill, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman announced that Arkansas is the recipient of nearly $3 million for Community Health Centers to advance substance abuse and mental health treatment. The funds are awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through its Expanding Access to Quality Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Services program.

Washington, DC – Today, the House and Senate Farm Bill conferees formally met for the first time to begin discussions on the 2018 Farm Bill. The conference committee will work to put together a final product that combines the House and Senate versions of the bill. The current Farm Bill programs are set to expire on September 30th.

Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of Transportation announced an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) that outlines a framework to provide our trucking industry with flexibility within Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to accommodate their unique situations while maintaining safety on our roads.


July 25, 2018
Washington, DC –Yesterday, The United States Agriculture Department (USDA) announced their plan to assist farmers as they work under unjustified retailing tariffs placed on them by China. This plan authorizes the use of up to $12 billion in programs to support farmers.

Jonesboro, AR –Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) launched his 3rd annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Manufacturers Tour in the 1st District of Arkansas. The kickoff event was hosted today and the tour will go onto Friday July 27th. Educators from across the 1st District will tour 18 different factories and see first hand the type of skills and training needed to fill manufacturing jobs in the area.
