Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of Transportation announced an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) that outlines a framework to provide our trucking industry with flexibility within Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to accommodate their unique situations while maintaining safety on our roads.

Washington, DC –Yesterday, The United States Agriculture Department (USDA) announced their plan to assist farmers as they work under unjustified retailing tariffs placed on them by China. This plan authorizes the use of up to $12 billion in programs to support farmers.

Jonesboro, AR –Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) launched his 3rd annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Manufacturers Tour in the 1st District of Arkansas. The kickoff event was hosted today and the tour will go onto Friday July 27th. Educators from across the 1st District will tour 18 different factories and see first hand the type of skills and training needed to fill manufacturing jobs in the area.

Washington, DC – Today, the Speaker announced that Congressman Crawford was appointed to serve on the Conference Committee for H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018. Crawford will work with a group of other appointed members to resolve the differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill.

Washington, DC - Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018.

Following the Farm bill vote Crawford released the following statement:

"Yesterday's passage of the Farm Bill in the House was a huge win for rural America. The Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018 gives our nation's farmers and producers more certainty so that they can continue to provide for us all. I'm proud of the work we've done in the Agriculture Committee and I hope the Senate acts quickly so we can continue to move this bill forward."

Crawford (AR-01), Westerman (AR-04), and Bishop (GA-02) introduced H.R. 6178, The Honest Operators Undertake Road Safety (HOURS) Act, This bill provides our trucking industry with flexibility to accommodate their unique situations while maintaining safety on our roads. The trucking industry, with all of its varying and unique sectors, quite literally, is the economic engine of our great country, delivering the clothes we wear, the food we eat, and the medicine that we depend upon.

WASHINGTON –U.S. Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton along with U.S. Representatives Rick Crawford, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman announced that the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport and three other Arkansas airports will receive nearly $21 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation to support airport improvements.

"Investments in our infrastructure support the long-term growth and development of Arkansas communities. These funds will improve safety while helping foster economic progress," members said.

Washington, D.C. –Representative Rick Crawford sent a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg seeking more detailed information about the ads, funds, and sources of Russian-based advertising that was displayed on his official Facebook page. Crawford, who recently deleted his Facebook page due to these concerns, believes the information shared in recent hearings did not go far enough in allaying his concerns and that of his constituents regarding the ads that were displayed on his official page, the revenue that Facebook earned as a result, and who was behind the ads that were placed.
