WASHINGTON – Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) announced today the introduction of the Addiction Recovery for Rural Communities (ARRC) Act, a bipartisan bill that will help rural communities bolster their efforts to fight the opioid and addiction epidemic. Congressman Crawford joined Cheri Bustos (IL-17), Roger Marshall (KS-01) and Dwight Evans (PA-02) in introducing the legislation in the House of Representatives. Senators Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Luther Strange (R-AL) and Pat Roberts (R-KS) also introduced companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) voted in favor of the H.R. 3364, Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, which would place new sanctions on Iran, North Korea, and Russia. It specifically places sanctions on them for involvement in serious human rights abuses, supplying weapons to the Assad regime, conducting cyber activity on behalf of the Russian government, corrupt privatization practices, doing business with Russian intelligence and defense sectors.

Subcommittee Chairman Rick Crawford (AR-1) and members heard from witnesses about the opportunities and challenges related to investments in new technology for production agriculture.

Washington D.C. - Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) announced his second annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Manufacturers Tour in the 1st District of Arkansas. The kickoff event is Monday, July 17th and the tour concludes Friday, July 21st. Approximately 30 educators will tour 14 factories total during the week-long tour.

Washington D.C. - Today, Congressman Rick Crawford announced his second annual STEM and Manufacturers Tour in the 1st District of Arkansas. The STEM and Manufacturers tour places focus on the challenges STEM educators and manufacturers face and starts a conversation on what needs to be done to improve STEM education. In March of 2016 Crawford hosted the first tour after realizing the disconnect between STEM educators and manufactures.

Washington – Representative Rick Crawford (AR-1) this week voted for and the House passed the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (H.R. 3003) and Kate's Law (H.R. 3004). Both bills address sanctuary cities, which are cities that refuse to follow federal immigration law and harbor illegal immigrants.

WASHINGTON D.C. - Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01), along with Representatives Bruce Westerman (AR-04), Ralph Abraham (LA-05), and Robert Aderholt (AL-04), have introduced H.R. 3041, the Aquaculture Risk Reduction Act, to protect fish farmers from unreasonable fines and criminal prosecution after they commit minor or accidental Lacey Act infractions.
