WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford, (R-AR) reacted to the Obama Administration's rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline Project. The project would have built a pipeline from Canada into the United States and provided our country with an alternative to Middle Eastern oil.

JONESBORO – Last week, Congressman Rick Crawford visited Cotter High School to present a new American Flag for the school to hang in the gymnasium. Cotter High School seniors Brent Taylor and Aaron Pettit wrote to Crawford requesting a new flag to replace an old flag that had faded with age. Taylor and Pettit have become known as the "flag men" around Cotter High for their efforts to promote patriotism in the school.

JONESBORO – Last week, Congressman Rick Crawford visited Cabot Middle School North to meet with student leaders and tour the school. Tanya Spillane, Principal at Cabot Middle School North, extended an invite to Crawford to visit with students about his work as a Member of Congress.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Rick Crawford, a member of the House Agriculture Committee, released the below statement today in response to the United States Department of Agriculture's proposed closures of Farm Service Agency and Rural Development Offices. Of the 131 offices proposed for closure, 16 are in Arkansas and 3 are in the First Congressional District that Crawford represents. Proposed closures in the First Congressional District include Farm Service Agency offices in Fulton and Izard Counties and the Rural Development Office in Izard County.

JONESBORO- On Thursday, January 12th, Congressman Rick Crawford will bring together policy and business leaders to discuss how Arkansans can grow their businesses in new markets. Recently passed trade agreements have opened doors for American businesses to grow. Crawford's goal in hosting the export discussion is to give Arkansas businesses the knowledge and tools they need to grow their companies through export markets.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford, (R-AR) called on Speaker John Boehner to let the House vote on extending the payroll tax holiday. In a letter to Speaker Boehner, Crawford asked for all options to be on the table and noted that he would be willing to accept a compromise tax relief plan. Crawford's letter to Boehner is attached above and inserted below.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford, (R-AR) commended Speaker John Boehner for reaching a compromise that will extend the payroll tax holiday and avoid a tax hike on 160 million Americans. Crawford is supportive of Boehner's compromise plan.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford voted to restore discipline and responsibility to Washington. H.R. 2055, The Appropriations Conference Report that passed the House today rolled non-defense spending back to 2008 levels. The Conference Report passed the House with a vote of 296 to 121.
