WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford, (R-AR) called on Speaker John Boehner to let the House vote on extending the payroll tax holiday. In a letter to Speaker Boehner, Crawford asked for all options to be on the table and noted that he would be willing to accept a compromise tax relief plan. WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford voted to restore discipline and responsibility to Washington. H.R. 2055, The Appropriations Conference Report that passed the House today rolled non-defense spending back to 2008 levels. The Conference Report passed the House with a vote of 296 to 121.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) announced that the Postal Service is delaying all post office closures until next year. No post offices or distribution facilities will be closed or consolidated before May 15, 2012. The Postal Service decided to postpone the closures so that Congress has time to pass postal reform legislation.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford voted in favor of H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act. The bill passed the House with a vote of 234 to 193.

WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1633, the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act that would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from changing coarse particle matter standards and would exempt farm dust from federal regulation. H.R. 1633 included an amendment from Congressman Rick Crawford that would require the Environmental Protection Agency to consult with the Department of Agriculture before they issue new regulations that would impact agriculture.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Rick Crawford questioned former MF Global CEO Jon Corzine yesterday about the $1.2 billion in missing customer funds that were invested with the company. Crawford's questions came during the House Agriculture Committee's public hearing to examine MF Global's bankruptcy. The hearing marked the first public comments about the circumstances surrounding the bankruptcy from Corzine.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford made good on his pledge to visit every hospital in the First Congressional district during his first year in Congress. Crawford's visit to the Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola today completed his tour of First District hospitals.
