JONESBORO, AR – Congressman Rick Crawford will host an Open House at his Mountain Home office tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22, 2011. The public is invited to attend.

The EOD Caucus Demonstration will show Members of Congress and staff the equipment and techniques EOD soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines use to disarm Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

JONESBORO – After listening to the concern of citizens in Northeast Arkansas, Congressman Rick Crawford introduced H.R. 3370, Protecting Our Rural Post Offices Act of 2011. H.R. 3370 prohibits the Postal Service from closing rural post offices that do not have an alternative post office within eight miles accessible by public roads. The Postal Service recently announced plans to close 3,652 post offices across the country, many of them in rural areas.

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) voted for two House measures that will give small businesses and startup companies more access to capital.

"Today the House helped entrepreneurs and small business owners gain access the capital they need to be innovative and ultimately create jobs. Small businesses, not the federal government, are the primary source of job creation," said Crawford.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick Crawford welcomed news that Unilever will invest $40 million and create 125 new jobs at their personal care products manufacturing facility in Jonesboro.

"Unilever's $40 million investment in Jonesboro is tremendous news. The addition of 125 new jobs will give the local economy a jolt of energy," said Crawford.
